About Us

BMRScope is a focused, free, and privacy-first tool for anyone who wants to understand how many calories their body burns at rest. Instead of forcing one formula on you, we show the leading equations side by side so you can see how estimates differ and pick the baseline that fits you best.

Why We Built It

Most calorie calculators give you a single number with no context. But the number you get depends heavily on which formula is used and what you know about your body. We built BMRScope to make that transparent: three formulas, a body-fat-powered precise estimate, an activity step to reach your real daily burn, and an age curve that shows where your metabolism is headed.

Our Principles

How the Tool Works

When you enter your age, gender, height and weight, the page's JavaScript applies the Mifflin-St Jeor, Harris-Benedict and Katch-McArdle equations directly in your browser. Enter your body fat and the lean-body-mass formula switches on. Select an activity level and your BMR multiplies into a Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Who This Is For

Fitness enthusiasts tracking their macros, athletes who want a leaner estimate, people planning a diet, and anyone curious about how their resting burn changes over the years. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned lifter, the tool's job is the same: give you a trustworthy starting number.
